Composite Spray Painter

We are seeking a Spray Painter to join our team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for preparing and painting Aircraft parts, composite and mechanical. This role requires expertise in aerospace painting techniques and quality control procedures to ensure the final finish meets strict performance and aesthetic standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing composite and mechanical surfaces for paint.
• Ability to understand expiry dates on paints, hardeners and thinners.
• Must be able to help with composite work to stay busy when paint work is done.
• Maintaining the spray booth’s filters and servicing.
• Be able to fill, sand and profile any imperfections, whether on moulds or composite parts.
• Signing off job cards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Type of qualification: Grade 10 or higher
• Years of experience required: Min 5 years in Spray Painting
• Professional license(s) required: Aviation Qualified Spray Painter
• Sound knowledge of: Aviation paint standards

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Spray Painting. Proficiency in understanding and interpreting engineering drawings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Must be willing to work night shift, as this position is to fill the extra shift’s Spray Painter.
