About the Role
Compliance Officers ensure businesses adhere to legal standards and internal policies. They play a critical role in preventing legal issues and safeguarding reputational integrity.
Responsibilities
- The provision of security measures to protect Menzies Aviation's personnel, assets, information, and operations from theft, sabotage, damages, and harm.
- To perform Security Risk Assessments on an annual basis or as the need may arise, to determine the threats and to develop effective security measures to counter it.
- Effective Management of Service Level Agreements with security service providers (guarding services, technical support, etc).
- Implementation of Security Strategies and Policies.
- Compliance functionality (Security audits and surveys).
- Investigations.
- Regular liaison with relevant stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.
- Regular updating of an electronic incident database.
- Proper recordkeeping of Security Awareness training within his area of responsibility.
- Management of assets and equipment under his control.
- Attending of operational and other meetings and proper formal feedback with regards to areas that need attention.
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in aviation.
- A relevant qualification in Security will be advantageous.
- Previous security and investigation experience.
- Firearm proficiency.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Police/security background with strong investigation experience.
