smartdept. is searching for a Communications Program Manager for a med-tech client located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will come with 5-10+ years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, fully remote, 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $70/hr-$80/hr depending on experience level and fit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide tactical support including post-launch content governance tactics, communication strategy, a metrics plan and reporting.
  • VP+ Onboarding to Executive Presentations: Working with the program DRI, manage communication, governance, and metrics for this new program designed to educate, engage, and train new VPs (and SVPs) – both new hires and newly promoted.
  • Executive Narrative Revamp: Working with the program DRI, create and oversee workflows associated with the executive narrative program, including the envisioned partnerships with SMEs across the company who are sources for data and evidence associated with existing and new narratives.
  • Other coordination tactics: This role also supports DRIs of other programs on an as-needed, as-possible basis: Review and Approval process, and Annual Commercial Sales meeting content development tracking.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in communication program management.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and presentation/facilitation skills.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint.
  • College degree in Communication or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrates strong organization and program management skills, with the ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines, and communicate status on concurrent projects.
  • Flexible and resilient problem-solver with the ability to gain consensus among others and manage sensitive situations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with maturity to interact comfortably with a vast spectrum of hierarchy within the function to gain consensus among others, managing sensitive situations and sensitive materials.
  • Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization, partnering with stakeholders across the company as needed.
  • Strong written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of MedTech industry.
  • Familiarity with Workfront and Smartsheet.
