Job Description:
  1. Communication – Internal and External
    Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure all employees are informed and engaged and align with the company’s goals and values.
  2. Work closely with senior management and HOD’s to identify communication needs and objectives with the aim to develop content that supports employee engagement, training, and company initiatives.
  3. Coordinate and manage internal events and engagements.
  4. Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance the company’s public image and brand reputation.
  5. Create content for internal newsletters, emails, intranet, and other communication platforms.
  6. Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, handling media enquiries, and coordinating interviews.
  7. Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content relating to the brand.
  8. Promote sustainability efforts and achievements through various communication channels.
  9. Oversee the communication aspects of the company’s annual report, ensuring it accurately reflects the company’s achievements and goals.
  10. Stakeholder engagement
    Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, businesses, and the local community.
  11. Develop and manage communication plans for stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  12. Messaging and content creation
    Produce high-quality, original written content for various platforms, including website, social media, press releases, speeches and talking notes, and marketing materials.
  13. Ensure all content, including social media, aligns with the company’s brand voice and messaging.
  14. Brand communication and events
    Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute brand communication campaigns.
  15. Manage communications for all donations and sponsorships.
  16. Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, and vendor for stakeholder (Board) engagements, internal events, and other corporate events.
  17. Corporate Social Investment (CSI) activities
    Oversee the company’s CSI activities, including the Canola Development Trust and learning and development initiatives to uplift the local community.
  18. Crisis Communication
    Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.
  19. Health and Safety
    Participate in safety forums, for example, safety meetings and safety talks.
  20. Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committees/representatives/management.
  21. Report all safety incidents to the relevant people.
  22. Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
  23. Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  24. Distribute safety information as and when required.
  25. Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, CSI, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. 2 years of relevant working experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
  3. Experience in content creation and managing communication channels.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with communication platforms and tools.
  6. Experience in event management, including planning and executing corporate events.
  7. Experience with social media management and digital marketing.
  8. Experience managing Corporate Social Investment (CSI) activities and community development initiatives.
