Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Qualified Mechanic Artisan or Engineering Qualification
3. 8 – 10 years experience in a technical environment
4. 5 years management experience
5. Managing large staff
6. Tertiary qualification in Road Transport Management (Advantage)
7. Track record managing a large workshop with commercial vehicles

Responsibilities

1. Manage complete technical function in business unit
2. Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
3. Maintenance of facilities, tools, and equipment
4. Manage and develop technical personnel
5. Manage department budget and targets
6. Control warrant/maintenance processes/systems and audits
7. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
8. Service and maintenance of all customer fleets
9. Manage all service levels/quality requirements by respective OEMs
10. Travel within company operational areas
11. Required to work long hours when needed
