Job Summary

As the Commercial Sales Manager - CIT, you will be responsible for leading and driving commercial sales within the Cash In Transit Industry for Giesecke+Devrient (G+D). This role involves developing and executing sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets, managing key customer relationships, understanding the solution selling strategy of Giesecke+Devrient, and expanding market share within the region. You will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and expanding the current customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Cash In Transit industry to drive business growth and market penetration.

    • Achieve sales targets, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives and regional business goals.

    • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics to position G+D's products and services effectively within the CIT Market.

  2. Key Account Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the region to drive sales and revenue growth.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Technical, Service Sales, Software solutions) to deliver tailored solutions and superior customer experiences.

    • Serve as a key point of contact for major accounts, addressing any concerns or challenges and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  3. Market Expansion and Business Development:

    • Identify and establish new Solutions and Projects within the cash in transit segment to expand market reach and drive direct sales.

    • Develop and maintain current customer install base with a key driver to expanding the installed portfolio to maintain and enlarge market share.

    • Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership agreements to secure new business opportunities.

  4. Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Meet agreed KPIs and performance metrics for the CIT Segment and monitor progress regularly.

    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses to the senior leadership team.

  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with inter-departmental teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall regional strategy.

    • Identify potential seminars, conferences, etc., to develop and execute effective promotional activities and go-to-market strategies.

    • Coordinate with finance to manage pricing strategies, payment terms, and credit management.

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum Working Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cash in transit or banking industry, preferably within the technology, cash handling, and/or security industries.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth and managing key accounts and stakeholders at various levels within the Cash In Transit and/or commercial banking industry.

  • Strong understanding of the commercial sales process, including the commercial banking industry, Cash In Transit industry, and the commercial retail industry.

  • Strong experience within the cash processing environment with an understanding of cash handling processes and protocols within the entire cash cycle.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience in working in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the South African region.
