This role reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, will be a Finance Business Partner to the South African Flavour commercial team, providing financial insights to drive improved decision-making and deliver business results through driving growth and profitability. Focus will be both strategic and tactical to achieve targeted near and long-term goals and objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Partnering with commercial team to drive growth and profitability

1. Prepare analysis and insights on the key drivers of financial performance for the South African Flavour business unit
2. Support the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in preparing and managing customer and product profitability analysis and reporting
3. Interpret and analyse customer specific requests from the sales team and partner to develop financial P&Ls and analytics
4. Business partner to the Sales teams, providing insightful analysis to support decision making

1. Support Financial reporting and analysis for all customers
2. Daily and weekly sales reporting
3. Support month-end processes, quarterly financial forecast, and budget
4. Financial data maintenance - support new product code creation, maintain product mapping, create system inputs of key financials during forecast and budget cycles.
5. Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis

1. Assist with the coordination and preparation of the long-term plan and annual budget process for the business.

1. Work to improve core commercial finance processes and reporting
2. Ensure all processes are documented and Sarbanes Oxley compliant
3. Prepare ad hoc commercial project viability studies

1. BCom in Accounting/Finance Relevant degree or equivalent Qualification
2. 4-5 years' experience in Finance roles with FMCG preferable
3. High level of Advanced Excel skills required and preferably experience of TM1, SAP and PowerBi
4. Experience in communicating effectively and building positive working relationships with commercial teams
5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights to support decision making
6. Strong personal leadership, being able to work in a results-driven culture with big focus on execution
7. Demonstrates initiative, accountability and adopts a perspective of continuous improvement
8. Strong planning and organisational skills and ability to manage to deadlines
9. Thorough understanding of business, processes, systems, and internal controls
