Cleaner

The Engineering workshop currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, dedicated individual to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Cleaning of floors, work areas and work stations
2. Cleaning, dusting and polishing of furniture and fittings
3. Sweeping and mopping of floors
4. Cleaning of walls and windows
5. Cleaning & maintaining the kitchen, toilets, showers and cloakrooms
6. Empty and clean waste containers daily
7. Clean surrounding paths and entrances
8. Overall and general housekeeping on a daily basis
9. General workshop duties i.e. maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop, workstations and tool stores
10. Cleaning of tools
11. Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Qualifying Experience:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent
2. Minimum of 1 – 3 years relevant working experience
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work with minimal supervision
5. Knowledge of Health and Safety Rules
6. Ability to work under challenging conditions
7. Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
8. Must be prepared to work overtime when required
