We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Class 1 or 3 Driver to join our team!

Job Summary

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Class 1 or 3 Driver provides daily pick-up and delivery service to/from our Whitehorse facility. This role requires physical labour, including using a manual pallet jack.

Shift

Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Home daily

Location

Whitehorse, YT

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-trips equipment daily and reports per company requirements
2. Communicates with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning
3. Communicates with clients on site to ensure delivery services meets or exceeds expectations
4. Delivers loads daily in an efficient and safe manner
5. Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports any problems
6. Reports road incidents to the Dispatcher
7. Maintains a positive attitude with customers/clients

Qualification Requirements:

1. Professional attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers
2. Experience operating and maintaining a commercial vehicle to DOT safety regulations
3. Current Class 1 or 3 Driver’s license with clean COMMERCIAL driver’s abstract
4. Basic geographical knowledge of Whitehorse and the surrounding communities throughout the Yukon
5. Experience driving a manual transmission required
6. Ability to lift freight up to 50 lbs.
7. Available to work full time Monday to Friday
8. Experience or certification to operate a forklift an asset
9. Will be driving Tractor or 5 ton truck when needed

1. Hiring wage depends on license and experience.
