Qualifications and experience:
Candidate must have a B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering.
Candidate must be registered as a Professional Civil Engineer
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the planning, procurement and administration of municipal services.
Responsibilities:
Manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle.
Experience in professional services tendering and agreements.
Experience and understanding of statutory approval processes.
Lead and manage a design team, including mentoring of junior staff members.
Experience in construction contract documentation compilation (SAICE GCC) and procurement processes.
Experience in contract administration.
Work well in a team environment.
Strong communication and people relation management skills.
Work well in a dynamic team environment and able to function independently with limited guidance.
Sense of urgency and ability to respond efficiently and effectively in the execution of project tasks.
Suitable candidate must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle, candidate must be willing to travel to remote sites.
Prior experience in the planning of infrastructure utilzing computer aided designs packages such as Civil3D, WaterMate and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage.
