CIMA Trainee

As a CIMA Trainee, you'll handle financial data, support bookkeeping and compliance, assist with management reporting, and help implement advanced cloud-based systems like Xero, Dear Inventory, and Shopify. Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate financial data and deliver professional bookkeeping services to clients.
2. Support operational processes such as cash-up sheets, stock counts, and inventory reconciliation.
3. Assist in compiling tax returns to ensure compliance across payroll, VAT, and income tax regulations.
4. Collaborate with accountants to create management packs and provide insightful data analysis for improved decision-making and statutory reporting.
5. Identify and test critical business scenarios and inter-system integrations for seamless functionality.
6. Facilitate the implementation of cutting-edge cloud-based financial systems for accounting, POS, and inventory management.
7. Stay ahead of the curve by mastering advancements in financial software, including Xero, Dear Inventory, Shopify, WooCommerce, Vend, and more.
8. Empower clients by training them to confidently navigate and utilize implemented systems.
9. Enhance internal accounting controls and processes to maintain accurate reporting and foster transparency.
10. Contribute to maximizing shareholder value with strategic financial insights.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Accounting / BCom Accounting degree or a related field.
2. 1 - 3 years of total experience in an accounting work environment.
3. Experience working with Xero and other cloud-based accounting tools is highly desired.
4. Excellent written and verbal English skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
5. Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.

Salary and Benefits:

1. R16 500 - R27 500 / month.
2. CIMA Support Budget.
3. Remote working environment (with monthly meet-ups in Cape Town) and provision of equipment.
