Job Overview:

As the Chinese-Speaking Growth Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading our marketing, growth, and user acquisition strategies in South Africa, with a strong emphasis on the Chinese-speaking community and market. This role will require a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on execution to drive growth in a competitive and rapidly-evolving crypto landscape. You will work closely with global teams, local influencers, and crypto communities to increase brand awareness, user engagement, and adoption of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Growth Strategy Development: Design and implement scalable growth strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention across South Africa, with a focus on Chinese-speaking users and communities.
• Market Research & Segmentation: Conduct in-depth market research to understand the local crypto ecosystem, identify user segments, and analyze trends within the Chinese-speaking demographic in South Africa.
• Performance Marketing: Lead performance-driven campaigns across digital channels (social media, SEM, display ads, etc.) to acquire and nurture leads. Optimize campaigns for maximum ROI and user conversion.
• Partnerships & Community Building: Develop and manage strategic partnerships with local influencers, crypto communities, and other stakeholders to enhance brand presence and foster long-term relationships.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data analytics and user feedback to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Content Creation & Localization: Collaborate with the content team to create relevant, culturally-tailored content and promotional materials targeting Chinese-speaking audiences in South Africa.
• Brand Positioning & Awareness: Promote the company's unique value propositions and educate users on the benefits of decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other blockchain technologies.
• User Engagement & Retention: Design and implement retention strategies to ensure active user participation, increasing user lifetime value through targeted campaigns, community engagement, and educational initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and customer support teams to align on business goals, product launches, and user feedback.

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese (both written and spoken) and English. Knowledge of other South African languages is a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or user acquisition, preferably in the cryptocurrency, fintech, or tech industry.
• Crypto Knowledge: Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, DeFi, NFTs, and the overall crypto ecosystem.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Proficient in using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) to drive decisions and optimize campaigns. Strong understanding of KPIs and performance metrics.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to design and execute successful marketing strategies that result in tangible growth (user base, revenue, etc.).
• Digital Marketing Skills: Expertise in SEO, SEM, social media marketing, paid advertising, and content marketing. Experience with platforms like WeChat, Weibo, TikTok, and other Chinese digital channels is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust strategies based on data and market feedback.
• Cultural Understanding: Deep understanding of the cultural and behavioral patterns of Chinese-speaking users, especially within the South African context.
