Role Description
We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy, innovation, and execution. The CTO will play a critical role in shaping our company's technological vision, managing engineering teams, and ensuring the development of scalable, high-performance solutions that align with our business goals.

This is a full-time on-site role, located in the City of Cape Town. The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for overseeing the company's technical strategy and development. Day-to-day tasks include leading software development efforts, managing projects, developing IT strategies, designing system architecture, and driving product development. The role involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure the seamless delivery of our web hosting services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy & Innovation:
   Develop and implement the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap. Identify emerging technologies and trends that can drive innovation and competitive advantage. Ensure that technology decisions align with business objectives and growth plans.
2. Engineering Leadership:
   Oversee all engineering, software development, and IT functions. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technical teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Establish and enforce best practices for software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
3. Product Development & Technical Execution:
   Guide the development of scalable, secure, and high-quality products and platforms. Collaborate with product management, design, and business teams to define technical requirements. Ensure system architecture supports performance, reliability, and scalability.
4. Security & Compliance:
   Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect company assets and customer data. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.
5. Stakeholder Communication & Business Alignment:
   Work closely with the executive team to align technology with business strategy. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Represent the company in investor meetings, conferences, and public forums.

Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a similar leadership role. Strong background in software development, system architecture, and cloud technologies. Experience scaling technology teams and infrastructure for growth. Deep knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills. Experience in Software Development and Architecture. Strong Project Management skills. Proven IT Strategy development and implementation. Product Development expertise. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work on-site in the City of Cape Town. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience in the web hosting industry is an advantage.
