Chief Technology Officer

What You Will Do:

Our Client is looking for a technical leader to fill the role of CTO. As their top technical resource, you will be responsible for guiding the technical strategy of their fashion retail business. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in commercial, marketing, and operations to spearhead digital transformation projects and ensure their technology solutions directly support the company’s growth and customer experience goals.

The ideal candidate also enjoys getting hands-on by actively contributing code.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data & Analytics: Implement data-driven methodologies to measure customer engagement, forecast trends, and identify opportunities for product innovation and operational improvements.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial, marketing, and operations teams to ensure technology solutions align with brand positioning and business objectives.
3. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
4. Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a technology roadmap that optimizes in-store customer experiences, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.

Who You Are:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5+ years in technology leadership roles, preferably within e-commerce or retail industries.
3. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of web technologies, mobile app development, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data analytics platforms.
4. Tech Stack: Python, JavaScript, AWS, MariaDB.
5. Project Management Skills: Proven track record of delivering technology projects on time and within budget, with familiarity in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
6. Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and effectively lead cross-functional teams.
7. Innovation Mindset: Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI, machine learning) and a passion for integrating them into a retail environment.
8. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to proactively address challenges and seize growth opportunities.
