Position: Group Chief Technical Officer (CTO) – Global Mining Company

A leading international mining company is seeking a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to drive its technical strategy, innovation, and large-scale project execution across two continents. This is a rare opportunity for a visionary leader to shape the future of mining operations, implementing cutting-edge technologies and driving operational excellence.

Location: Flexible within Europe, UAE or Central Asia offices with international travel

Reporting to: Group CEO

Scope: Oversight of technical operations across multiple continents

Team Formation: Opportunity to build and lead a high-performing technical team

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define and implement the group's technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Lead major capital projects, driving efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in mining operations.
3. Introduce and oversee the adoption of advanced engineering and process technologies.
4. Conduct technical audits and provide expert advisory to senior leadership.
5. Ensure compliance with international industry and environmental standards.
6. Engage with key industry stakeholders, fostering partnerships and collaboration.

What We're Looking For:

Education: Advanced degree in a relevant technical or engineering field (Master's / PhD preferred).

Experience: 20+ years in technical leadership, including 15+ years in senior management.

Industry Background: Strong expertise in mining and metallurgy, with experience in large-scale international operations.

Skills: Strategic leadership, project management (PMP / IPMA preferred), stakeholder engagement, and technology-driven transformation.

Languages: Fluent English (Russian and/or French fluency would be advantageous).
