Description

As the Chief of Police, you will be responsible for overseeing the City of Johannesburg's policing efforts. This involves providing strategic leadership on all aspects of integrated public safety.

Main Responsibilities:

• Policing Services: Lead the provision of Policing, traffic management, By-law Enforcement and crime prevention services;
• Core Functions Implementation: Ensure efficient and effective implementation/performance of core functions prescribed in section 64C of the South African Police Service Act;
• Branch Management: Manage the Branch in terms of section 64C (2) (a-h);
• Financial and Human Resources Management;

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or BTech in Policing (NQF level 7);
• Registration with a relevant professional body is an added advantage;
• At least 10 years of extensive experience and subject matter expertise in policing and supervisory environments;
• No criminal record (excluding political offenses from the previous dispensation).

R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum.
