Seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive strategic IT initiatives and enhance business operations through technology in the insurance industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a visionary leader with strong technical acumen and strategic alignment.

Minimum Requirements:

1. IT-related Degree (Honours or Masters preferred)
2. 5 or more years of experience as a CIO focusing on strategic alignment.
3. Proficiency in Python and Django is preferred.
4. Previous experience in the insurance/financial services industry is preferred.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
6. Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work effectively under pressure with a detail-oriented and ethical approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

IT Strategy and Governance:

1. Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with overall business objectives.
2. Ensure that technology initiatives support and enhance the company’s business strategy.
3. Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Information Security and Compliance:

1. Oversee cybersecurity measures, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Digital Transformation and Innovation:

1. Lead digital transformation initiatives to optimize business processes and enhance customer experience.
2. Identify and deploy emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:

1. Develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans.
2. Implement strategies to minimize downtime and mitigate data loss.

User Support and Training:

1. Ensure end-users receive adequate support and training on IT systems.
2. Continuously address feedback to enhance the user experience.
