Public Sector Account Executive

What you'll do:

  1. Identification of sales opportunities and the strategy in assigned Public Sector accounts.
  2. Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions into new Public Sector accounts.
  3. Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions onto new state purchasing contracts and vehicles.
  4. Achieve monthly / quarterly / annual new business and upsell targets.
  5. Work with the Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plans.
  6. Develop and execute against sales activity plans to achieve the agreed targets.
  7. Understand the compliance and governance of engaging with Public Sector customers and partners.
  8. Have a deep understanding of the SITA / End Customer and Partner relationship.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with new business prospects.
  10. Manage Business Administration by generating the reporting of the Key Performance Indicators and general CRM housekeeping.
  11. Sign up to and execute against a set of end-to-end sales methodology and process.
  12. Monitor and report on activities while providing relevant management information.
  13. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationally.
  14. Attend trainings and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  15. Weekly end user activities.
  16. Number of net new qualified opportunities added to the pipeline.
  17. Pipeline stats – pipeline movements.
  18. Forecasting accuracy.

What you'll bring:

  1. IT sales experience (ideally within Email / Messaging / Security / Storage - but not essential).
  2. Proven new business sales achievement (with tangible examples) in large accounts against target in Public Sector.
  3. Established relationships in large public sector customers (SOE, National and Municipality levels).
  4. Ideally with experience of both Direct & Indirect sales roles.
  5. Understanding of Public Sector contracts, cycles and their buying processes.
  6. Strong business / commercial acumen.
  7. Strong communication / presentation skills (Written and Verbal).
