Job Description:
As the Chief Financial Officer, your duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial and operational strategies, with clear metrics aligned to business goals
- Continuously enhance and monitor control systems designed to safeguard company assets
- Ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee the integrity of the General Ledger
- Ensure proper control, maintenance and management of accurate reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of Group monthly management accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with IFRS
- Establish and maintain a robust monthly reporting process across the Group
- Ensure consistency and discipline
- Prepare and review financial pack submissions for Audit Committee and Board meetings
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of IFRS financial reporting figures across the group
- Provide timely and relevant financial data and information requested by management for informed decision making
- Lead monthly financial review and budgeting/forecasting meetings to track and analyze financial performance
- Oversee the maintenance of the Group Companies’ Limits of Authority
- Contribute to the Integrated Reporting process
- Ensure a comprehensive succession plan is in order for senior management positions
- Facilitate proper training and development for all personnel involved in the finance department
- Manage the Finance team
- Provide guidance and foster development opportunities for direct reports to enhance professional growth
Skills & Experience:
10-15 years of experience in financial management
Manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous
Good business and commercial acumen
Forex experience
Proficiency in MS Office and other financial software
Qualification:
Registered CA(SA)
