DUR – Chemist (Nelspruit)

Purpose of the Job: To implement and manage all QC and formulation aspects regarding production, ensuring the legal conformity of activities; and that product registrations are aligned with the Technical Manager with regards to the business strategy of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Show technical support to field salespeople and develop a good rapport with the customer base.
2. Plan, organize, and manage experiments regarding new and improved product formulations.
3. Schedule and execute product-related projects in line with company strategic initiatives.
4. Suggest any improvements on formulations, processes, products, or new research lines.

Required Qualifications:

• BSc Degree in Chemistry

Technical Competencies & Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years working/researching experience in the chemistry and/or agriculture industry.
• Drivers' license.
• Experience in Laboratory/QC/Production.
• Knowledge of local legislation and legal procedures of Official Bodies.
• Knowledge about the application of the products, composition, and their effects.

Behavioural Competencies:

• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Leadership skills.
