Chartered Accountant

Our client within the Retail / Wholesale Industry is looking for a Chartered Accountant in Harrismith. The CA will be responsible for both general and financial accounting, managing the organization's financial reports and transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tracking expenses, analyzing financial data, providing insights to aid business decision-making, and ensuring the organization's compliance with all financial regulations whilst preparing and examining various financial documents.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general accounts receivable, accounts payable and administrative tasks.
2. Sound knowledge of Tax regulations.
3. Advanced knowledge of Excel and Pastel Partner.
4. Attention to detail, working accurately under pressure and meeting deadlines.
5. Ability to work independently, analyze financial data, and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
6. Sound knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and all Accounting Regulations.
7. Analyzing trial-balance accounts, identifying errors, and raising journals.
8. Maintain an organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
9. Prepare annual financial statements, audit files, and ad-hoc financial reports.

Requirements:

1. CA(SA) registered with SAICA.
2. 3 - 4 years working experience as a CA.
3. Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
4. Not be older than 45 years of age.
5. Preference given to males.
