Position: Cash Office Clerk
Job Purpose: The Job Purpose of the Cash Office Clerk is to efficiently manage daily cash transactions from Drivers and Sales Representatives, ensuring accurate reception, balancing, and documentation of funds.
Key Accountabilities And Outputs:
- Cash Office:
Responsible for the daily reception and balancing of cash funds from Drivers and Sales Representatives.
Issue receipts for all received funds.
Assist in the banking process for all received monies.
Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, checking invoices, and composing memos for returns.
Monitor and control access and security through the Cash Office Gates. - Adherence to the Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards:
Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.
Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organization's code of conduct.
Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.
Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards.
Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents.
Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures.
Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment. - General:
Ensure housekeeping is performed and ensure that all products and activities are stored and executed within the demarcated areas according to the housekeeping policy.
Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures.
Maintain expected performance standards.
Assist with work that may not be a direct part of their job description as needed.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
- Up to 3 years' experience in Operational Execution within FMCG.
- Experience within a cash office environment preferable.
