Case Assistant - Medical Surgical Devices Johannesburg

Case Assistant in Surgical Devices (Urology and Endoscopy) in the Gauteng Region.

In this role, the Case Assistant will use their newly obtained knowledge in the related field to sell the full range of Urology Critical Care Endoscopy products in a professional manner by calling on health care professionals and related role players, i.e., Urologists, GIs, Stock Controllers, Theatre staff, etc.

The Case Assistant will be expected to maintain current business by creating relationships with customers in the shortest time and servicing current business thereby.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the sales of the Urology Critical Care portfolios.
2. Maintaining existing business in the assigned territory.
3. Scheduling and attending appointments with existing customers.
4. Preparing stock for and attending theatre lists to service the product-related needs of the customers.
5. Completion of weekly planner and activity report for submission to direct manager.
6. Networking with and managing existing customers.
7. Counting and management of Consignment Stock.
8. Requesting and following up on quotations.
9. Achievement of sales target.
10. General administration associated with the position.

Reports

1. Adhere to credit policies and procedures of the group.
2. Maintain all administrative responsibilities associated with this position; monthly reporting on marketing activities.
3. Ensure all product and marketing activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
4. Managing all company expenses within the marketing budget provided.
5. Adhere to any legal or medical requirements and inform management of changed requirements.
6. Submit monthly reports to management.

Stock Management

1. Assist with stock rotation and slow-moving identification and returns.
2. Assist Sales Managers with input from the field on stock ordering and give feedback on stock requirements from the field.
3. Management of consignment stock allocated to customers on request from Sales Managers.
4. Management of boot stock allocated and rotation of stock when needed to reduce unnecessary expiration of products.
5. Giving feedback to Management on consignment stock.

Requirements

1. A relevant degree is a minimum requirement; any medical and marketing qualifications would be a definite advantage.
2. Experience Required:
3. Graduate status.
4. Own car, travel in Gauteng region even after hours.
5. Desire to gain much-needed experience in the Medical Sales Industry.
6. Willingness to work hard and long hours when required.
7. Medical experience during education is preferred; previous experience in a similar position in the Medical Industry would be an advantage.
8. Knowledge of the target group of customers will be an advantage.
9. Computer literacy and proficiency on MS Office, specifically Excel (level 2 at least) and MS Word is a requirement for this position.
10. Clinical and product knowledge will be a definite advantage.
