Job Description

We are looking to grow our Cost Management Team, we are looking to engage qualified individuals who are Candidate Quantity Surveyors to join our Durban office.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Conducting background research, cost data collection and benchmarking.
  2. Estimating and producing cost plans.
  3. Supporting Value Engineering exercise.
  4. Developing procurement strategies.
  5. Compiling and amending the tender list.
  6. Drafting the procurement documentation.
  7. Checking and analysing the tenders.
  8. Drafting the tender report.
  9. Dealing with variations and the change control processes, negotiating with contractors.
  10. Conducting cost checks and valuations.
  11. Drafting monthly reports.
  12. Producing final accounts.
  13. Liaising with the client, contractors, designers, etc. and anticipating or leading meetings.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least Bachelor’s degree in Built Environment, Construction Management or other relevant discipline.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a QS role.
