Position : Business Cycle & ZBB Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Business Cycle & ZBB Manager to spearhead the monthly business cycle for BU South East (BUSE), overseeing the management reporting and forecasting process, including the Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) process. This role is pivotal in driving financial excellence and optimizing performance across our business units.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Monthly Cycle: Deliver the FP&A Monthly Cycle to ensure all key performance deliverables are met. Collaborate with relevant functions to gain a thorough understanding of business performance. Partner with countries on key performance step change projects. Prepare presentations of monthly results for the Zone Management Committee and the Zone Leadership Team for global CEO and CFO review. Drive the Finance Excellence Project to enhance the role of FP&A and support Business Units. Lead the optimization and improvement of standard management reporting across Business Units, including Revenue Management initiatives. Continuously digitize the monthly cycle process.
2. Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB): Oversee the Full Africa Zone ZBB Management, ensuring alignment with Procurement and other functions (Marketing, Sales, Supply, People, Legal, and Corporate Affairs). Conduct overall reviews of ZBB Packages at month-end to understand variances and deep-dive into overruns to assess risks and savings. Prepare the month-end ZBB deck for presentation to the Zone CEO and VP Finance. Execute the Latest Estimate (LE) process for the Zone monthly for submission to Global, collating risks and determining bankable savings. Conduct the annual ZBB business cycle for the Zone, developing 1YP and budget base assumptions. Lead ZBB deliverables with stakeholders such as Zone Package Owners and Procurement Teams. Drive the execution of ZBB in the Africa Zone, including policy localization and initiative tracking. Identify and share best practices in expense management within the Zone.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities :

1. Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.
2. CA, CIMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
3. 3-4 years in a business environment; experience managing people is a plus.
4. Strong understanding of business processes, strategy, and finance.
5. Proficient in accounting and financial statements.
6. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Syspro, Cognos, and SAP.

2. Ability to support significant process changes affecting a major portion of the organization.
3. Effective communication skills with all levels in the organization (Global and Zone Levels).
