Job title: Campaign Manager / General Manager (Medical Insurance and Gap Cover)

Key Responsibilities
Sales Division Management
Supervise and assess the performance of sales campaigns, ensuring targets are met.
Maintain and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Lead negotiations to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Monitor data usage, related costs, and conversion rates.
Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are fully understood and implemented.
Manage the budget for each campaign, ensuring sales and revenue targets are achieved.
Regularly report on campaign performance to management and the Board, addressing concerns and outlining action plans for improvement.
Leading and Motivating a High-Performing Team
Provide line management for sales managers, offering day-to-day support, development, performance reviews, and handling disciplinary matters.
Ensure new employees, product launches, and continuous improvements are supported with adequate training and coaching.
Mentor junior managers and transfer skills to enhance team development.
Set and monitor individual and team targets, ensuring goals are achieved.
Communication with Business Units and Stakeholders
Build strong relationships with departments such as HR, IT, finance, L&D, and QA to support campaign performance.
Foster clear communication with internal departments to ensure timely and appropriate support for teams and managers.
Engage with external stakeholders, such as product or system providers, to maintain up-to-date knowledge and anticipate potential issues.
Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Standards
Lead the development of sales scripts, balancing sales volume with quality and compliance.
Ensure adherence to key legislative and regulatory requirements within sales management.
Establish and enforce controls to ensure compliance, minimizing potential risks.
Prepare necessary materials for audits, verifications, and inspections, both internal and external.
Act as the operational Responsible Manager (e.g., linked to AFSL) for the sales floor when required.
Monitoring External Market Trends
Stay informed about competitors to identify selling opportunities.
Understand shifts in customer profiles or demographics and how these may impact sales processes or payment models.
Monitor staff turnover and implement strategies to reduce campaign destabilization.
Identify and pursue potential funding opportunities (e.g., DTI).
Contributing to Strategic Leadership of the Business
Represent the sales division at the executive and board levels as needed.
Identify strategic opportunities and partnerships for growth.
Develop proposals for discussion at the board level.
Manage the budgetary contribution of the sales business unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Matric essential with related qualification advantageous.
RE and FAIS certifications are essential.
Minimum of 10 years sales management experience in the GAP cover, Medical Insurance, or Medical Aid sectors, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven experience in managing call center-based campaigns in the medical aid, insurance, or gap cover sectors, including leading teams of sales managers, team leaders, and agents.
Experience working with digital leads is essential.
