CA / Accountant

Our client, a Wealth Management organisation based in Southern Suburbs CT, is seeking an Accountant/Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, including directors, and collaborate with team members to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain automated Power BI reports and dashboards.
2. Continuously improve data pipelines and visualization for real-time decision-making.
3. Build, maintain, and enhance detailed cash flow reports.
4. Ensure reporting aligns with business goals and provides actionable insights.
5. Prepare budgets and forecasts in support of the Financial Manager.
6. Provide assistance to the Financial Manager with regard to legal compliance reporting, such as SARB and SARS (efiling and the like).
7. Monthly updates and reports on Xero regarding trusts.
8. Analyse existing financial reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation.
9. Implement streamlined workflows to enhance reporting accuracy and reduce manual effort.
10. Create compelling, data-driven presentations for directors and senior stakeholders such as Wealth Managers.
11. Communicate complex financial insights clearly and effectively.
12. Provide operational support to finance team members, helping them work more efficiently.
13. Foster collaboration across teams to ensure smooth project execution.
14. Lead and manage reporting-related projects with strong organizational skills.
15. Work directly with the Finance Manager on special initiatives and cross-functional projects.
16. Regular comparison of fees received for wealth management advice.
17. Critically evaluate existing processes and recommend changes.
18. Review service provider agreements.

1. Postgraduate Commerce degree in Accounting or similar.
2. CA(SA) required; 3-5 years post articles experience.
3. Advantage – experience in wealth and/or asset management.
4. Proven experience in financial reporting and data automation.
5. Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Solid understanding of financial concepts and cash flow.
8. Experience with process improvement and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, VBA, or similar).
9. Effective project management skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
10. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail.
