Business Unit Manager
Job Description:
To provide senior management leadership and perspective on outcomes-based solutions within the Industrial Service line adhering to the BPO principles of control test independence, acceptance and mitigation of associated output risk, value-adding process optimization and productivity enhancements, sound commercial modelling and best practice resource acquisition.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Min 5 - 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within process-driven working environments and or industries
- Pricing schedule, payroll, admin and debtor’s processes
Education:
- Tertiary business qualification ideally in logistics, supply chain management or process / industrial engineering
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a Business Unit offering that is current, relevant, and that is constantly evolving
- Ensuring that all aspects of training take place utilizing the correct skills, equipment, and space whilst at all times maximizing efficiency.
- The ultimate training and development of the sales team to better understand the Business Unit product sets in their entirety.
- Achieving the above through product training, attending client meetings, proposal writing, and sales support.
- Working with the accounts team to ensure that internal processes are followed and that invoices are available for the redemption of associated learning credits.
- Engaging the courseware coordinator to get Business Unit student kit orders placed for accurate weekly forecasts.
- Building and maintaining a strong relationship with the Business Unit channel.
- Ensuring that all financial targets for the Business Unit are achieved.
- Designing training solutions for tenders and comprehensive training proposals.
- Managing all aspects of employment including appointing, training, mentoring, and evaluating team members.
- Maintaining a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and quality while driving growth and capacity.
- Ensuring that all operational, administrative, and managerial functions around Business Unit solutions are implemented.
- Full responsibility for all areas of the relationship with the vendor.
- Ensuring the success of direct vendor training programs.
- Attending scheduled internal meetings with the General Manager, Technical Director, Sales Team, and Operations Team.
- Providing performance reports and statistics as they relate to prior periods, business plans, and current targets.
- Providing vendors with accurate forecasting details where required.
- Working closely with General Manager and Sales Managers to promote the relevant BU product.
- Ensuring that Business Unit information on the Partner portal and Torque IT website is relevant and up to date.
- Responsible for developing and growing sales within the channel.
- Researching new training offerings and implementing development plans.
- Meeting and communicating with clients at all levels relevant to the product.
- Responsible for attaining revenue from Learning Credit vendor programs.
- Building relationships with relevant people at the vendor.
- Representing Torque IT at industry body meetings and networking with client representatives.
- Participating in the local and worldwide Business Unit Partner awards submission.
- Maintaining and updating assistants job description as the role evolves.
- Providing any support necessary to other business units within Torque IT.
- Financial accountability including action plans on how to achieve financial targets.
- Analysing sales trends.
