Job description

My client is a leading company in the automotive battery industry, recognized for its commitment to innovation, quality, and performance. The company specializes in energy storage solutions and manufactures and distributes high-quality batteries for automotive, leisure, marine, industrial, and standby power applications.

With a strong focus on manufacturing excellence, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, the company continues to set industry standards, ensuring its products meet the highest levels of reliability and durability.

Job Purpose

Support Sales and Marketing through sales growth, administration, stock control, and customer service to achieve departmental targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Administration

  1. Acquire and maintain customer accounts, monitor monthly sales, and provide feedback to management.
  2. Implement marketing strategies, and promotional activities, and master route planning.
  3. Assist in credit applications, debt collection, and customer risk management.
  4. Maintain company assets and equipment.

Stock Control

  1. Liaise with the warehouse to ensure stock availability and manage consignment stock.
  2. Monitor customer buying patterns and stock replenishment needs.

Compliance

  1. Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  2. Report risks and inefficiencies to management.

Customer Service

  1. Build strong customer relationships and resolve queries effectively.
  2. Provide product training and ensure updated customer databases.
  3. Supply POS materials and manage in-store branding.

Cost Control

  1. Monitor gross profit and pricing structures.
  2. Optimize company resources and reduce unnecessary expenses.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Education: Diploma/Certificate (NQF 5)
  2. Experience: Up to 3 years in a Business Representative or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  1. Technical: MS Office, SAP, ERP, Salesforce.
  2. Behavioral: Proactive, problem-solving, planning, customer-focused, communication skills, resilience, and flexibility.
