In order to expand our Sales team in Cape Town, we are looking for a motivated Business Development Engineer m/f/d as soon as possible.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

  1. Key task is to grow the business and acquire new customers.
  2. Maintain a healthy pipeline of potential customers.
  3. Follow up actively on projects and continuously create new opportunities.
  4. Successful candidate must have account management capabilities to manage accounts from first approach to successful implementation of the treatment program.
  5. Follow up on orders and manage supply chain with our supporting team.
  6. After acquisition: follow up on existing chemical water treatment applications.
  7. Work on new treatment start-ups and applications improvement.
  8. On-site water analysis, interpret results, and make recommendations for correct settings.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (minimum requirements)

  1. A chemical engineer with experience in specialty water treatment business development and account management, especially for cooling water, boiler water, RO, and wastewater.
  2. 5+ years of practical experience and proven business development capabilities.
  3. Good knowledge and experience of water treatment processes and chemical applications are a must.
  4. Good knowledge of the Cape Town area and the Cape provinces industry and potential.

  2. Strong sales and service mindset.
  3. Good organizational skills.
  4. Open-minded, flexible, and creative.
  5. Learning attitude and show initiative.
  6. English language skills are essential.
  7. Willingness for regular business travels.
  8. Driving license.
  9. Located in Cape Town with business experience in the Cape area (MUST).
