Job description

Job Purpose

  • To spearhead business development endeavours in South Africa, foster growth opportunities, and meet revenue objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's presence in the South African market, with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Mining and Renewable Energy sectors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and clients to achieve revenue targets and market growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and potential clients.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive activities, providing insights for business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of services, addressing client requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts to prospective clients, negotiating terms and agreements to secure business opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance and alignment with company policies.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, market trends, and client feedback to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 -12 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales in South Africa, particularly within the Testing, Inspection and Certification field with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Mining and Renewable Energy sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the South African business landscape.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Must be a South African Resident
  • In addition to the qualifications, experience, and skills listed above, the job holder must be culturally sensitive and adaptable, with a strong understanding of local customs and business practice
