Role Overview :

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities within the SME sector. You will focus on promoting our working capital financing solutions to potential clients, building long-term relationships, and helping them find financial solutions that meet their unique needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, client relationship management, business growth, has an understanding of the financial services industry, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Lead Generation & Prospecting :
  2. Research and identify potential SME clients that could benefit from our working capital solutions.
  3. Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation methods.
  4. Qualify leads and develop relationships with decision-makers to understand their business needs and challenges.
  5. Present our financial solutions to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and how they can help improve cash flow and fuel business growth.
  6. Tailor proposals to suit the needs of each client and drive the sales process from initial contact to closing deals.
  7. Nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  8. Work closely with the marketing, credit, and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients from inquiry to onboarding.
  9. Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline progress, and market insights to management.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes that could impact the SME financing landscape.
  11. Assist in the development of strategies to increase market share and expand our customer base.
  12. Participate in events, conferences, and industry forums to build the company’s presence and brand recognition in the market.

Key Requirements :

  1. Experience :
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably in financial services or SME financing.
  3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their financial needs.
  6. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong sense of initiative.
  7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  8. Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
