The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic, on-the-ground Business Development / Sales Representative based in Cape Town.

This role is tailor-made for a motivated professional with a robust network and experience in engaging with top executives. You will be instrumental in expanding our reach by sourcing and building relationships with CEOs and CFOs doing business within Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Africa, focusing on senior decision-makers in target industries.
  • Relationship Building:Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Sales Cycle Management:Drive the full sales process—from initial contact and needs analysis to solution presentation, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Market Intelligence:Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with the IPT Africa CEO & CMO to tailor our financial solutions to meet the specific needs of your clients.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Sales Expertise:Demonstrated success in business development and sales, ideally within the financial services sector or related industries.
  • Industry Network:A well-established network within one or more of the target industries: safari and tourism, energy and mining, or payroll services.
  • Strong Communication Skills:Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial solutions clearly and confidently to C-level executives.
  • Self-Motivated:A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit with a drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Market Knowledge:Familiarity with the African business landscape and a solid understanding of the financial services environment.
