Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components. Our experienced teams partner with our broad, global customer base, providing both technical expertise and broader support in both the fixed wing and rotary wing markets.
What will I be doing?
- Off-site Maintenance Support
- Maintenance centre checklist and general store and office upkeep: Inspect the areas as per the maintenance centre store checklist and highlight any anomalies to the team. Review the general condition of the store and facilities and highlight anomalies.
- Tool Calibration: Monitor special tools calibration in line with the calibration schedule. Recall tools to be calibrated and arrange the transfer to the Service Provider. Receive quote from the service provider and arrange payment. Follow up on completion and arrange collection and return transfer to the store. Update calibration schedule and file calibration certificates. Optimisation of calibration schedule.
- Checking of Lifting Equipment: Arrange the Service Provider to be on-site quarterly for the checking of lifting equipment. Arrange payment. Keep records.
- Consumables: Monitor the use of consumables (oils and greases) in terms of availability and shelf life and arrange replenishment with the supplier. Arrange payment.
- Tool replacement: Manage the process of replacement of tools, from quote to delivery.
- Off site preparation: Assist the field technician to prepare for an off-site intervention – liaise with the CSR to obtain documentation (PO/SO). Prepare security travel form and request travel. Apply for Away from base and EASA deviation as required. Liaise with the customer for the preparation of an off-site checklist if needed.
- Production: Responsible to maintain the schedule for off-site intervention.
- Document control: Collect and scan workpacks on return from an off-site. Check workpacks for completeness Control workpacks until they are transferred to SHE UK.
- Quality: Perform “basic audits” and highlight anomalies/findings.
- Logistic Support
- Receipt of shipments: Liaise with Supplier, freight forwarder and SEDSA for the smooth receipt of shipments to Johannesburg satellite station.
- Dispatch of Shipments: Liaise with Freight forwarder and consignee for the shipment of items. Preparation of SRF and Commercial Invoice to support the shipment.
- Logistic support for off-site intervention: Shipment and return of tools. Liaise with customer to ensure tools and parts have delivered and ready in line with the off-site planning. Arrange the collection of tools. Liaise with the CSR to ensure parts have been shipped.
- Business Administration/Cost Control/SLA Administration
- Maintain a file system for expenses, scanning documents electronically and ensuring the periodic transfer of original documents to SEDSA.
- Capturing data regarding expenses. Liaising with SEDSA to compare claim submitted to HEUK are aligned with the data maintained and highlighting anomalies.
- Assist locally in SA regarding business administration topics such as Cell Phone contracts, vehicle rental etc.
- Liaise with SEDSA on coordination of SLA activities.
- CSR Support
- Assisting the CSR with the preparation of quote for an off-site intervention – completion of the offsite quote form and liaising with the FTECH to obtain spares lists – following up on information from customers.
- Follow up with the customer on counterpart returns.
- Quality
- Support SAFRAN HE UK quality department during audits from the authorities.
- Interface with SACAA and respond to queries from the authorities.
- Other
- Event preparation: Assist in the liaison and preparation of any events planned.
- Liaise with HEUK to maintain some local stock of customer goodies.
- Attend daily QRQC and lead production schedule meeting.
- HSE: Attend HSE meetings with SEDSA and coordinate HSE activities.
- Coordinate facility cleaners.
- 5S: Coordinate 5 S activities.
Exigences du poste
- Experience in the Aerospace Industry: 5 years.
- Experience with leading a team of AME: 3 years.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment, SACAA and EASA.
- Knowledge of SAFRAN HE products and environment desirable.
- Autonomous and self-driven.
- Ability to work on your own and set own priorities. Remote working.
- Computer literate working with office packages and SAP.
