Business Analyst Specialist
Contract position

Minimum requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required
2. 10 years of working experience (business or IT) in various analysis roles
3. 5 years of experience in data mining and/or software development environment
4. Strong knowledge of the SQL language preferred
5. 5 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
6. Previous experience with project management and successful delivery of software projects required
7. Experience working with Oracle and/or SAP is a plus
8. Modeling (ARIS/UML)

Responsibilities:

1. Develop collaborative relationships through dealing with different cultural customs and political factors
2. Assist with understanding, analyzing, and defining business requirements for the project, review existing and other potential solutions to meet these requirements, design, and construct software solutions for test and quality assurance purposes
3. Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI
4. Design and develop documentation of the solution using a variety of software systems including whiteboard sketching, Word docs, PowerPoint presentations, Visio diagrams, .pdf documents, HTML, and XML files
5. Diffuse and address conflict
6. Identify where conflicts and/or synergies exist between technologies and business functions
7. Define system architecture or diagrams
8. Maintain system documentation and associated records
9. Prepare programmatic documents such as task lists, work breakdown structure (WBS), budgets, and risks
10. Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses
11. Promote and contribute to the organization's Business Analysis (BA) Centre of Excellence
