We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Business Analyst - Data Management and Reporting

The incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing, supporting and improving Glencore's Data Management strategy and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, to collect, analyse and interpret data, to create actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing and maintaining best practices for data storage and retrieval by ensuring the integrity, security and performance thereof.
• Establishing and enforcing data quality standards, policies and compliance measures.
• Designing and optimising Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
• Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and visualisations using Business Intelligence tools and developing efficient datasets to facilitate report generation and data visualisations.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders and business users to elicit data management and reporting requirements.
• Analysing existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement and proposing process enhancements, automation opportunities, and workflow optimisation.
• Assisting in implementing process changes and ensuring user adoption through change management processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A relevant degree.
• Certifications will be advantageous (Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst).
• SAP Data Management & Reporting experience will be advantageous.

Minimum Experience:

• 8 Years' Business Analyst experience in a data-focused role.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modelling and reporting tools.
• Experience in Front End report building
