Business Analyst

Location: Century City, Cape Town

Salary: R1mil - R1.4mil per annum

A client of ours is looking for a talented Business Analyst to join their team. If you have a solid background in IT applications and experience in the supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, or ERP systems, we would love to hear from you! The ideal candidate will be someone with strong analytical skills, with experience working with international supply chains, and the ability to develop innovative solutions for clients.

Primary Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of experience in implementing and/or developing IT applications within medium to large companies.
2. Experience working in a Business Analyst role in the supply chain field, including areas such as logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, and/or ERP and warehousing applications.
3. Hands-on experience with international supply chain processes (import and export).
4. Strong technical and analytical skills.
5. A tertiary qualification, such as a National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent, in Business Analysis or related fields.

Personal Requirements:

1. Ability to analyze client requirements and develop effective, innovative solutions.
2. Proven experience running JAD (Joint Application Design) or requirements workshops with clients.
3. Skilled at documenting requirements and communicating effectively with stakeholders, both internal and external.
4. Strong time management skills with the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
5. Ability to work directly with clients across various levels of an organization.
6. A passion for delivering high-quality work and solutions.
7. Strong teamwork abilities and a willingness to collaborate with others.
8. Ability to work independently and manage projects with a structured delivery approach, adhering to best practices and standards.
9. Adherence to project plans, deadlines, and deliverables.

Secondary (Advantageous) Requirements:

1. Experience with MS SQL and Transact SQL.
2. Exposure to Application Integration projects and/or integration technologies such as web services, APIs, etc.
3. Additional experience with customs systems (e.g., SARS or others) is a plus.
