Job description

PURPOSE

Responsible for underwriting processing and policy administration of all policies administered by Acuideas for its brokers in terms of service level agreements with various insurers and UMA’s – this includes but is not limited to quotations, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, FNOL’s as well as book take-on’s and migration projects. To ensure all policies are serviced in accordance with Acuideas Standard Operating Procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Matric
  • Appropriate FAIS Accreditation (Short-term insurance) – NQF 4
  • RE5

Experience

  • 2 years short-term insurance experience, including
  • 2 year experience with policy administration systems

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND OUTPUTS

1. Technical Broking

  • Obtain quotes from insurers on behalf of Acuideas brokers
  • Upon acceptance of quote, ensure receipt of signed proposal instruction and debit order forms (where applicable)
  • Send closing instruction to insurer to provide cover for clients of Acuideas brokers
  • Load client and policy information onto the system to activate policy.
  • Send policy documents and invoices to Acuideas brokers.
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines.
  • Attend to endorsements on existing policies and sending amended policy documents to Acuideas brokers

2. Administration

  • Attend to all quote requests, new business, amendments, renewals and cancellations in a timeous manner aligned to agreed SLA’s and Acuideas Standard Operating Procedure
  • Ensure data integrity on all systems
  • Attend to general correspondence and e-mails to independent brokers according to company standards
  • Ad hoc administrative functions

3. Quotations

  • Obtain full details regarding client risk required to quote
  • Request quotes from insurers
  • Quotes must be submitted to Acuideas brokers within SLA time-frames

4. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Provide a rewarding service experience at all touch points
  • Ensure that customer queries are attended to and resolved expeditiously
  • Attend to all customer queries (revision/ renewals, rate negotiations with insurers, amendments, cancellations, unpaid premiums)
