Amka, a leading manufacturing company, is looking for a Brand Manager to look after brands in the Fragrance Division. In a recent ranking of SA's top 500 companies, the Topco Media Research Foundation recognized Amka as the Best Managed Company in the Personal Products sector.

• MUST HAVE a Marketing qualification
• MUST HAVE: 2-3 years of Brand Management in FMCG
• MUST HAVE: Own a car and a driver's license

Role of this Position:

To maximize the short- and long-term sales and profitability of the brand(s) for which he/she is responsible. This is achieved by managing all aspects of the marketing mix effectively in order to maximize the consumer and trade appeal of the brand(s) and build strong and enduring brand equity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and grow within the organization.
• Cover niche personal care brands and the potential to grow a mainstream brand.
• Be passionate, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic.
• Create and implement brand marketing strategies, with coaching and oversight by the marketing team and leader.
• Execute plans and employ innovation in products and processes to achieve a competitive advantage.
• Report and analyze brand performance in a clear, concise manner with a focus on required actions.
• Have an in-depth understanding of the Brand Strategy and be the major architect of its evolution over time.
• Prepare the brand plan for the following calendar year after the annual review of the Brand Strategy.
• Manage brands with limited budgets while developing optimal marketing activities and results.
• Conceptualize, motivate, and manage the introduction of new products, line extensions, and product improvements.
