Brand Ambassador - Mall of the South

You as a Senior HSE Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Contributing to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and corporate responsibility in assigned geography.

Your Responsibilities

1. Delivering and deploying HSE training, audit and Group-wide performance improvement programs to the divisions and local Business Units.
2. Providing analysis of HSE data within area of responsibility and reporting on progress on implementation of Sustainability Objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) as required.
3. Contributing to assessing emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicating relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and geography, supporting constituent countries to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations.
4. Delivering audits (as per Group Audit Program) and supporting and following up on improvement actions in the Local Business Units.
5. Cooperating across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility for the CoE.
6. Contributing to driving behavioral change and continuous improvement through delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert support to the Local Business Units in line with yearly HSE plan agreed with the Business Units and supporting the sharing of best practices.
7. Coordinating reporting on HSE performance and supporting the delivery of the Group audit program.
8. Contributing to and/or planning and executing Health, Safety and Environment performance and Corporate Responsibility related projects and developing and reporting on project objectives.
9. Managing project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors.

Your Background

1. A bachelor's degree in relevant industry is required.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
3. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
