Production Manager
A nutraceutical facility in the West Rand requires the services of a dynamic Production Manager.

We are seeking a candidate with a robust background in manufacturing, particularly within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.

As the Production Manager, you will lead a team of production staff, ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations to deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements.

This role demands a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, technical acumen, and knowledge of cGMP.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Co-ordinate in planning and organizing the manufacturing processes of the company.
2. Plan the short and medium term needs of customers.
3. Develop and maintain a monthly production schedule.
4. Manage output of factory to ensure schedules are met.
5. Exercise prudent control over operational manpower and expenditures.
6. Establish and attain production metrics to ensure both internal and external customer requirements are met.
7. Continually monitor cGMP compliance and address any shortcomings immediately.
8. Facilitate cross departmental communication and maintain intradepartmental relations with QA, QC, Stores, Engineering, and Production.
9. Develop and maintain training program for GMP, SOP, and Job Function training.
10. Constant review of policies and procedures to ensure relevance and compliance.
11. Assist with validation program.
12. Ensure that all standard yields are maintained by production lines.
13. Control production process and production facilities.
14. Monitor and control the general cleanliness, hygienic conditions and maintenance of the factory.
15. Ensure that all production equipment is maintained in good working order.
16. Ensure that there is discipline and good working culture among the staff.
17. Prepare daily output reports and monthly production reports.
18. Maintain high levels of safety within factory environment.
19. Demonstrate adeptness in troubleshooting production challenges and facilitating effective resolutions.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in manufacturing / production management within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industries.
3. Willingness to work extended hours and provide supervisor coverage based on business demands.
