Bosch Projects – Civil Design Engineer – GQB

Bosch Projects, a member of the multi-disciplinary Bosch Holdings group of companies, founded in 1961, has a job opportunity for an energetic and practical Design Engineer. This position will be based in Gqeberha and reports directly to the Regional Director.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assistance with proposals related to Roads, Stormwater, Water, Sanitation and Housing.
• Undertaking projects feasibility and master planning studies, including report compilation.
• Planning and/or conceptual design, detail design, specification, procurement process administration and contract administration.
• Construction contract documentation compilation and procurement processes.
• Assistance with technical advancement and business development by pursuing technical excellence and maintaining quality assurance on projects.
• Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with Bosch Projects ISO 9001/2015 QMS System.

Key Requirements:

• A BEng, BSc or BTech qualification in Civil Engineering. Professional Registration will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Consulting Engineering environment (Roads, Stormwater, Water and Sanitation fields.)
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD software is essential.
• Familiarity with GCC2015, SANS1200, COTO & NEC3/4 standards, is required.
• Experience in Civil Designer, Revit or similar design packages will be an advantage.
• Excellent technical writing skills, with good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, but also to function well in a team environment.
• Self-motivation.
