Job description

We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic individual who will be able to align with our mission and vision as a company. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and organized. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial records, and ensuring accurate and timely accounting data. Must have the ability to work independently.

Duties:

  1. Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties on cloud accounting software, including maintain and update financial records, data entry, bank reconciliations, ledgers, and journals.
  2. Perform office admin duties related to the job.
  3. Assist in the preparation of management reports for clients.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  5. Maintain organized and secure financial filing systems.
  6. Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  7. Monitor communications and answer any queries from clients.
  8. Work with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers and journals.
  9. Update and maintain procedural documentation.
  10. Reconcile GL Accounts.
  11. Other related duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualification:

  1. Grade 12.
  2. A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in accounting.
  3. Up to 1 year of previous bookkeeping experience.
  4. Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. QuickBooks experience preferred.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to multitask across different types of accounting-related projects.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No more than 3 per week

  1. Diploma (Required).
