Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Bookkeeping Duties
    • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions by posting and reconciling accounts.
    • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
    • Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Record and process payroll transactions and assist with employee reimbursements.
    • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
  2. Accounting Support
    • Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts under the guidance of senior team members.
    • Perform basic financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
    • Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and information as required.
  3. Administrative Duties
    • Maintain an organized filing system for financial records, invoices, and receipts.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Handle routine correspondence related to financial matters.
  4. Collaboration and Reporting
    • Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
    • Report discrepancies or issues to the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager promptly.
    • Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (essential).

EXPERIENCE

1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role (essential). Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems (desirable).
