Who you'll report to:

You'll be based at our Enterprise, Risk, and Risk division at our Gqeberha office. You'll report to our Manager: Operational Finance who is accountable for corporate finance functions.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  1. Month End Reporting
  2. Assisting with Month-end Journals
  3. Cash and Cash flow management
  4. Month-end requirements including:
    1. Right of Use Asset Journal
    2. Accrual, provision & Prepaid Journals
    3. Loan & Interest Journal
    4. Cashbook process & reconciliation
    5. Distribution Journals
    6. GRV processing & AP supplier reconciliations
    7. Balancing debtor control accounts and age analysis
    8. Balancing commission control
    9. Reinsurance & Reserves Journals
    10. Payroll journals
    11. Investment journals
    12. Back uploading payments, claims, and commissions on our online banking
  5. Balance sheet reconciliations
  6. Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
  7. Assisting with general accounting and reconciliations
  8. Banking Administration
  9. VAT Management
  10. Get involved in ad-hoc projects

Your qualifications:

B.Com Accounting or relevant experience.

Your Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience.

Knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous but not essential.

Pastel experience preferable.
