Bookkeeper

MSA Outsourcing Solutions is looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join one of our UK based clients. The ideal candidate will manage accounting records, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support various bookkeeping functions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions.
2. Maintain and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy.
3. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
4. Prepare VAT returns and other tax filings.
5. Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
6. Process payroll and manage employee records related to financial transactions.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Assist with audits and prepare documentation as needed.
9. Handle all PAYE and CIS matters.
10. Support the finance team in identifying areas for financial improvement.
11. Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

1. Proven working experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
2. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. Professional certification, such as ACCA or CIMA, is preferred.
