Bending Supervisor / Programmer

Job Responsibilities:

• Production planning within the bending department.
• Programming on Bysoft Cam for bending machines.
• Ensure output parts meet quality requirements.
• Monitor machinery and able to repair faults.
• Consult with Management to address manufacturing or assembly challenges.
• Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of production when and where required.
• Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.
• Supervising and training of operators and assistants.
• Utilise work orders, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements.
• Liaising with customers to ensure drawings are correct and suitable to manufacture.
• Generate quotes for customers when and if required.
• Process customer drawing requirements as quickly and as accurately as possible.
• Prepare and maintain detailed standardised work instructions and set-up sheets.
• Weekly and monthly management reports.
• Upkeeping General housekeeping of the department.
• Ensure tools and equipment are used in a correct and safe manner to prevent damages.
• Implement systems to improve production processes and quality.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience in the Steel Manufacturing Field.
• National Senior Certificate.
• Driver’s licence.
• Competent in Microsoft applications.
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong spatial perception, technically minded & a creative thinker.
• Excellent People’s skills.
• Leadership Skills.
• Maintenance Knowledge on CNC Bending Machines.
• Knowledge on Different Types of Steel and their Properties thereof.
• Analytical and Problem solving Skills.
• Willingness to Learn and adapt in a fast-paced Environment.
