Backend Engineer

What does the job involve?

1. Development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software systems and services.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
3. Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
4. Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
5. Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical issues.
6. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
7. Participating in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (beneficial but not required).
2. Experience in the fintech industry or with payment processing systems.
3. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).
4. Experience with machine learning and data analytics.
5. High level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
6. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
