Job description

B2B Sales Executive Position: Cape Town based
Remuneration: Basic + commission
Preferred start: asap

Our client is the media division of a 20-year veteran in the South African online space. They hold exclusive rights to resell advertising technologies, including Zendrive and Netcore.

They are looking to take advantage of the explosion for relevant data and rich media and need additional sales staff in Cape Town to meet the demand in the market. This role will evolve into a sales manager / director role (succession based).

Responsibilities

  1. Generating new business from brands and agencies
  2. Maintaining some existing clients in addition to bringing your own client base
  3. Running with a campaign from strategising and pitching through to launch, billing and reporting
  4. Liaison with agencies, brands, industry bodies, third parties, and internal departments
  5. Work within a team, reporting to a manager and answerable to the CEO
  6. Manage personal sales pipeline
  7. Provide accurate sales forecasts and report to management in a timely and consistent manner
  8. Share customer / industry feedback and insights with internal partners
  9. Identifying relevant opportunities and capitalizing on Group product set

Requirements

  1. Ability to understand original advertising solutions and be proficient within a month
  2. B2B sales experience is essential
  3. Three years+ selling call Centre solutions
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate and close complex packages
  5. Knowledge of internet technologies and the online advertising sales market
  6. Experience in selling to clients at a senior management / director level
  7. The ability to apply creative solutions to advertising briefs and create strong bespoke sales packages in a highly competitive marketplace
  8. Established relationships with Cape Town agencies and clients
  9. Qualification in sales / advertising or relevant experience essential
  10. Agency knowledge / agency relationships

Personal Skills / Attributes

  1. Expert Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  2. Knowledge of advertising concepts such as Analytics, DFP, Facebook, Google, AdWords
  3. Grasp of rates (CPM, CPC, CPV, CPI etc)
  4. Understanding of recent advertising concepts and trends regarding audience data, legislation, beaconing
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  6. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Consistent performer with a proven track record
  8. Excellent relationship builder
  9. Excellent presentation skills
  10. Target driven
  11. Strong commercial acumen
  12. Publisher and insurance experience
  13. Motivated and ability to work independently
  14. Able to work remotely when required
  15. Good negotiation skills
  16. Deadline and target driven
