Aws Data Scientist

Job Location : Gauteng, Johannesburg

Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities:

1. Proven experience working in complex financial systems and applications (e.g., trading platforms, payment systems, risk management systems).
2. Strong understanding of financial products, capital markets, derivatives, and treasury operations.
3. Strong understanding of Equities and trading.
4. Familiarity with cloud technologies and their application within the financial services sector.
5. Strong background in machine learning, particularly in time series analysis and neural networks.
6. Hands-on experience with coding in Python, and the use of visualization tools.
7. Must have experience with Machine Learning.
8. Must have knowledge of Market Microstructure.
9. Experience with high-frequency trading data and market microstructure.
10. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AWS services, especially Sage Maker.
11. Ability to work with large datasets and perform data normalization.
12. Knowledge of technical indicators and their application in equity markets.
